Popular Chinese OEM LeEco (formerly known as LeTV) today made an entry into the Indian market with the launch of the Le 1s and Le Max. The LeEco Le 1s is priced at Rs 10,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart via flash sales on February 2, with registrations kicking off today.
The Le 1s was first unveiled back in October last year, and one of its talking points is the design. It boasts a full-metal unibody in a form factor that is only 7.5mm thick. Another talking point is a fingerprint scanner, called LeTouch, which is placed at the back below the rear camera.
LeEco Le 1s flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS LCD display with an impressive brightness level of 500 nits. It is powered by a 2.2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. On the storage front, there is 32GB available, but no way of expanding it any further.
On the photography front, the Le 1s is equipped with a 13-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera with PDAF and 4K video recording capabilities, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera with up to 85 degree wide angle lens. It also features a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging (five minutes charging gives up to 3.5 hours of usage).
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop wrapped under the EUI skin.
